Men's Ministry

Cherokee County United Methodist Men. We are a group of Christian men from United Methodist Churches in and around Cherokee County: Murphy 1st, Peachtree, Andrews, Bellview, and Ranger who attend monthly meetings on a regular basis. Our Mission of Service is taken from Matthew 22:37-40 and from John Wesley's Mission for the Church that states, "Do all the good you can, By all the means you can, In all the ways you can, In all the places you can, At all the times you can, To all the people you can, As long as ever you can!" Under the auspices of Nehemiah's Neighbors we do projects for needy and older community members. We financially support His Lambs, Our Lambs Christian Preschool, Truett Baptist Camp (scholarships), Boy Scouts of America, and Baptist Medical-Dental Mission to Honduras (as well as some of our members serving in Honduras on annual mission trips). We support the Sharing Center by packing and distributing food to families in need. We support the Scott Hogsed Memorial Youth Conservation Day, and wherever our volunteers are needed.

We hold several dinners throughout the year (usually 4) in which the men prepare and serve the food. We sell TNT fireworks at Ingles for a period leading up to July 4th. We provide breakfast for a fee at the monthly meeting. We accept donations at our various musical functions as well as at the TNT tent.

Please see the attached calendar of meetings and activities.
